Procrastinating Packing

After months of anticipation, it's only three days away now. These past few weeks have been a whirlwind of paperwork, to-do lists, endless errands and now all that remains is packing. Lots of packing. The mess that has exploded in my room and the piles of laundry that need to be done have lead me to do what I do best: procrastinate. Though it is Saturday and I leave on Tuesday, I have not packed a thing, yet I am not panicked. For now I'm trying to enjoy my last few days at home (mostly by eating my body weight in home cooked meals) and my last few days of break. I must confess, at times the whole "Study" aspect of "Study Abroad" seems to slip my mind, sorry mom and dad. While I know that I am going to Paris to study, I am much more excited about the "abroad" part. I know I'll miss my family and friends and at times I'll wish I was back in Iowa City, however for now, I cannot wait for the semester that lies ahead. I am excited to share my adventures with everyone on here and I hope you guys find my blog interesting, but mostly entertaining. I will do my best to write frequently and vow not to leave out any laughable "lost in translation" moments I encounter. I plan to spend the next few days stuffing my suitcases with things I've convinced myself I will most definitely need while abroad and will undoubtedly regret bringing once I get there. My next post will come once I arrive in Paris...so the adventure begins!

  1. "I'll wish I were* back in Iowa City."

It's called the subjunctive. Maybe. I'm actually not quite sure and just giving you sass. But good luck.
